Volkswagen recently expanded its SUV lineup when it introduced the Volkswagen Atlas three-row SUV to wide success. The Atlas family is now expanding with last October’s unveiling of the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport two-row variant of the three-row behemoth.
The new 2020 Atlas Cross Sport starts at just above $30,000 for the base S trim. In total, the Atlas Cross Sport is available across eight trim levels: S, SE, SE with Technology, SE with Technology R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium, and SEL Premium R-Line.
Under the hood of the new Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport S lurks a turbocharged inline-four engine that can crank out 235 horsepower. The front-wheel-drive SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and is both guided and trailed by automatic LED lamps. Other key features include automatic windshield wipers, a 6.5-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, and safety features like blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking.
Opting for a higher trim level can get you premium features like heated front seats, a larger infotainment screen, dual-zone climate control, a power hatch, remote start, adaptive cruise control, turning headlights, a heated steering wheel, memory seat settings, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and an upgraded sound system.
